Information we collect

My Fearless Bookkeeper, also known as Fearless Bookkeeping, collects information you provide when you contact us, request services, or choose to receive texts. This may include your name, email, business details, phone number, messages, and records of your SMS consent. When you become a client, we also receive the financial and business records needed for the services you request.

Our website uses Vercel hosting and web analytics to understand site usage and performance. Technical information may include the pages visited, device and browser details, and request information. Embedded Google Maps content is provided by Google and is subject to Google’s privacy policy. Our contact form uses an email delivery provider to send your inquiry to our office and a receipt to you.

How we use information

We use information to answer inquiries, provide bookkeeping and related services, manage client relationships, maintain our website, protect our systems, and meet recordkeeping and legal obligations. If you separately opt in to SMS, we use your number for appointment reminders, account and service updates, and document-request reminders. Submitting an inquiry or giving us a phone number alone does not authorize text messages.

SMS privacy and non-sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share personal information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and text messaging consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We disclose information to service providers only as needed to operate our services, such as website hosting, email delivery, and messaging providers. SMS consent information is used only to administer our texting program and may be accessed by providers supporting that program; it is not provided for their independent use. We may also disclose information when legally required.

Your texting choices

Texting is voluntary. To stop texts, reply STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to the number that messaged you. We will stop further program messages after your request; a single message may confirm your opt-out. You can also contact our office to withdraw consent. For assistance, reply HELP or use the phone or email below. Choosing not to receive texts does not prevent you from using our services.

Data security and retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information. No website, email, or mobile network can guarantee complete security. Please do not send Social Security numbers, passwords, bank account details, tax documents, or other sensitive financial information through our contact form or SMS. Ask our office how to provide documents securely.

We retain information for the time needed to provide services, keep appropriate business and consent records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Opt-out records may be retained so we can continue honoring your choice.

Access, corrections, and deletion requests

Contact our office to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. We may need to verify your identity. We will handle requests subject to applicable law and any records we must keep.

Policy updates

We will post revisions here with a new last-updated date and provide additional notice of material changes when required. A policy update does not itself enroll you in texting or expand your SMS consent.
